Who We Are


Pastor Charles Turner has more than 13 years of experience in ministry and denominational work throughout the East. He currently leads the Shiloh Baptist Church in Hartford, CT, a position he has held since 2007. He is the Vice-Moderator of the Asher Assocation of the CT State Missionary Baptist Convention and an active member of the Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance of Greater Hartford. He is a Board member of Hartford Seminary and Treasurer of the Board for the Conference of Churches in addition to serving as a Hartford Police Department Chaplain and Chaplain for the CT State House of Representatives.
Charles received his BA in Business Administration cum laude, with University Honors from Tennessee State University. He attended Vanderbilt Divinity School, where he was active in the Organization for Black Graduate and Professional Students (OBGAPS). He holds a Master of Divinity degree from Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School, with a concentration in Transformational Leadership.
